North East London Clinical Commissioning Group (NEL CCG), is responsible for securing safe, high quality and effective healthcare services for the population of the Barking and Dagenham, City and Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest.
Procurement is one of a range of mechanisms for securing safe services that meet the needs of the population whilst improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities. The process of specifying a service and identifying the appropriate provider or providers to deliver the service is called procurement. We need to commission the best provider to deliver these services to our population.
Where competitive procurement is the chosen route, this will be the result of a clear and transparent process, which will follow the NEL Clinical Commissioning Group Procurement Policy.
The CCG adopts a variety of procurement processes including Any Qualified Provider (AQP), competitive and non-competitive tendering, and Direct Award.
New contract opportunities will be advertised on the UK Government https://www.gov.uk/find-tender and https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder website. We will also publish notices of contract awards on these websites.
